Wolfpack History

Wolfpack was formed in the Mid 80's by a group of like-minded high school friends around Dallas, TX while playing LARPs like Amtgard and SCA. Once online gaming became a thing, we began holding a presence in games like Ultima Online, Star Wars Galaxies, City of Heroes, ESO, and SWTOR.

We prefer a smaller, tight-knit group over having zerg numbers in our ranks. It is imperative to us that each member feels like they actually matter, instead of just being another random Toon running around with our Guild tag. This mindset has allowed us to stay together for over 30 years, along with the fact that we are quick to remove toxic players who threaten our laid-back, casual style.

We encourage members to do what they enjoy: from crafting and decorating, to PvP and hardcore progression. We never require, or force, our members to play a Class, Race, or combination of the two which they don't consider fun. We prefer that our members play what they like, when they like, and enjoy the game so that they keep coming back.

That being said, we are a social Guild with a strong focus on grouping often and working together. Thus, anti-social players do not tend to be a good fit with us. As a matter of fact, we have a real-world meetup around July each year for those who wish to participate.

(Attendance is NOT mandatory, by the way! It's simply a chance for our members to hang out, get to know each other, and emphasizes the fact that we do care there's a real person behind that online character.)

We still maintain a presence in SWTOR (Empire side of the Star Forge server), but we are currently awaiting the release of Ashes of Creation as it will become our new official home once it Releases. Our Members are not required to play Ashes of Creation (since we are a multi-game Guild, after all), but many of us backed the game through Kickstarter and will definitely be in it for the long haul.

As always, run wild and have fun! See you in-game!

Wolfpack Rules
1. Take care of YOU!
Real Life comes first. Do not forget that you have a life in the real world: family, friends, a job, food. We understand, and expect you to take care of those needs first. If something is going to keep you away from the game for an extended period of time, just let an Officer know so we can make sure you're not kicked for inactivity.
2. Socialize
Wolfpack is built upon a foundation of real-world friends. Our core group has been together over 30 years, and we still get together once a year for a real-world meetup. While every member is invited to attend our get-togethers, no-one is ever required to come. (The location is voted on each year by our members.) In-game, we would rather have a few members who like to chat, group, and help each other out than to just boost our Guild Roster for the numbers. So while single-player games are great for a solo experience, our members play MMOs for the social interactions.
3. Courtesy
Be mindful of your responsibility to the Guild. If you choose to sign up for an Event, make sure you either show up for it, or give us enough notice to find a replacement so the Event can still take place for everyone else involved. Don't intentionally be the reason someone else has a bad experience in the game.
4. No drama!
Do not bring real-world drama into the Guild. Yes, we are grown-ass adults, but we play games to escape the headaches of real-world drama. Thus, we do not discuss polarizing topics in Guild Chat (or Discord) like Religion, Politics, and the like.
5. Respect.
Don't be an asshat. Wolfpack can be very competitive, and many of us focus rather strongly on victory, yet we treat each other-- and our opponents-- with respect. We understand that not every player is going share your skill level, or be as competitive as you, but we believe that does not make it okay to treat them poorly. If you cannot conduct yourself accordingly, you have no place here.
6. Communication.
Discord is mandatory for all members. We are a multi-game Guild, so Discord is where we keep up with each other as we travel to new worlds and try new games. Our members are not required to speak if they're uncomfortable with that, but being able to hear instructions during Events like dungeons, PvP, and Raids is a necessity. We have channels dedicated to each game on our Server, so make sure you're staying on-topic for the channel you're in!
7. Lastly, and most importantly, have fun! We play games to enjoy each others' company, and the game, itself. We do not pressure our members to Level Up quickly, or speed through content. Play when you can, and at your own pace, to ensure you're having a good time. If you have any issues with another member of Wolfpack, bring it to an Officer's attention so they can handle the problem while you go back to having fun.

Ashes of Creation Info

Obviously, we have no idea what Wolfpack will focus on yet. Once we get much closer to Release, we will begin having in-Guild discussions and votes to determine our direction. We're planning on hitting the game hard and heavy from Day 1, and sticking with it for the long haul as quite a few of our members have the Lifetime Subscription. If you're looking for a Guild that actually treats you like you belong, as opposed to just another name on the roster, then you've come to the right place!
