General Guild Info
I would like to introduce you to the Gaiscíoch (Pronounced: Gosh-Kia) Family. Our family began as a social gaming community in the industry pioneering MMORPG Dark Age of Camelot. We began on the Nimue server on November 11th, 2001, with a focus on creating a fun and enjoyable community for players of all ages and skill levels.
The Gaiscíoch takes it's name from the Irish legends found within the "Cét-chath Maige Tuired", "Lebor Gabála Érenn", and "Cath Maige Tuired" which chronicles the first people of Ireland the Tuatha de Danann. Specifically the First Battle of Moyturna where the Tuatha de Danann hand-picked the most honorable and loyal warriors to fight along side the Celtic gods in a battle against the Fir Bolg. These Warriors were known as the Gaiscíoch.
With our roots firmly attached in the Celtic Mythological Cycle, the Gaiscíoch hold honor, respect, integrity, and fellowship close to heart. Our events are open to the public and guild membership is never required.
Today the Gaiscioch Social Gaming Community consists of 515 active members across 23 countries. In the past month they have hosted 201 public events across 32 games. We actively publish our own digital gaming magazine, daily livestreams, and host an annual charity event.
We are a social casual gaming community with a relaxed approach toward gaming. We allow our members to play how they want, when they want, as long as they want, and do not constrict them with quotas or requirements. It is through gaming, athletic competition, and social interaction that we forge new friendships and relationships.
Ashes of Creation Info
The Gaiscioch was introduced to Ashes of Creation in 2016 and quickly became involved. We are a proud supporter of Ashes of Creation and have listed it as a potential chapter within our community. We are actively polling interest to see if Ashes of Creation should be launched as the next chapter in the Gaiscioch community.
Our community seeks to be a benevolent force in Ashes of Creation, standing against malevolent forces who seek to disrupt the community. If we meet our goals for chapter consideration, Gaiscioch plans to launch several guilds within Ashes of Creation, each assigned to a region to look over. Our goal is not to lead, but to protect, to teach, and to encourage. We will hold events open to all Ashes of Creation players regardless of their guild membership and will go out of our way to help new players.
It is our hope that by launch time we can officially call Ashes of Creation chapter 6, however there are many trials ahead. Regardless, if Ashes of Creation clears our chapter requirements or not, we will have a presence in Ashes of Creation and look forward to creating a positive community.
